Alison Wong

Streetsville Secondary School
Murphy & Chung Chartered Accountants Athletics Award

Alison, an Honours student and elite-level athlete, has been on a winning streak since the age of seven. At that time, she started playing soccer at the house league level, advancing to the select level, then developing into a multi-sport athlete (in sports too numerous to list), and finally settling with her passion for hockey. Within one year, she progressed from the lowest competitive level, Bantam C, and jumped five levels to Midget AA. After four years of competitive hockey and accolades, such as, Most Valuable Player, Female Athlete of the Year, Leading Scorer, Most Dedicated Player, Most Sportsmanlike Player, Alison attained her goal of obtaining a spot with a university women’s varsity program. Her dream came true when she was signed with an Ivy League hockey team—Brown University Bears in Providence, Rhode Island.

Alison is pursuing her next goal while she is studying at Brown University— becoming a medical practitioner.
